Factoring Brokers - Are You a Finder Or a Broker

By Howard R Hill

In this Wild, fast growing global market the Internet has created new ways to do business. In my world as an Invoice Factoring Broker I\'ve seen the ever competitive market because of the Internet, its where we advertise, do business, send and receive contracts without ever meeting our clients or customers. This environment has created the "Finder", Just send the info. to a funder and your done, easy? Yes, A challenge? NO .

What does a true broker do? He stays with his client and helps get the deal done, he calls his client and creates a relationship, You should want to be the go to guy. you need to have a full understanding of factoring & PO Funding. And it does not hurt to have contacts in many areas, I also carry a line of credit program, what growing company does not need a line of credit? I also have Bridge Loan ( Hard Money ) connections. Making connections and networking with other business people and entrepreneurs, these people may not help you but someone they know might need your services. Proper networking can be an exhilarating and en lightning experience. If you are networking and can talk about factoring with it rolling off your tongue with ease then your there. If you stumble through your presentation and people are just as confused, THEN you better call me, we\'ll work on that.

You must have good social skills in networking and not be afraid to talk to any one.

In my primary niche, which is factoring I have many funding companies I work with depending on the clients needs and the finders requirements. The whole idea of becoming a good broker can create some interesting situations, meet interesting people and some real characters, and every time you touch someone new you will never know where it may lead, usually some interesting deals and outcomes. You should send e mails just so people have your contact info. You never hang up the phone without getting contact info. ph #, e mail address. return calls quickly, listen , listen again, then talk.....Are you a true entrepreneur ,CREATE RELATIONSHIPS, take chances.

If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.
